General Information about trips to Russia

Reservations: All trips require months of advance planning, therefore we are only able to accept reservations 60 days before trip departure. Last minute bookings are subject to availability and may incur late fees or higher airfare cost.

Payments: A deposit of $400 per person is due 10 days after the reservation is made, after which time we reserve the right to regard the reservation is cancelled. The balance of the payment is due 60 days before the trip start date. We accept personal checks and money orders and can accept credit cards with an additional three percent fee.

Cancellation and Refund: If you cancel your trip, you must notify us in writing or by FAX (916.315.9758). We realize the majority of those who cancel do so out necessity but we will hold the deposit to pay for our incurred costs. A significant part of our expenses are committed long before departure. For all cancellations we will refund you the cost of your trip less the following per person charges:

14 - 0 days	100 % of selling price

Transfer: You may change your reservation to another river trip during the same year with payment of a $50 transfer fee. No transfers can be made after the final payment due date.

Cancelled Trips: We reserve the right to cancel any trip prior to departure for any reason whatsoever, including inadequate sign-up which makes it economically unfeasible to operate a trip or logistical problems which may impede trip operations. Notice of at least 45 days prior to departure date will be given. In such cases, a full refund of the trip cost will be given, but we are not responsible for expenses incurred by trip members in preparation for the trip (e.g., medical expenses, equipment, non-refundable airline tickets, etc.)

Trip Insurance: We highly recommend that you get coverage for medical expenses, baggage loss, and trip cancellation. We recommend Travel Insurance Select (800-937 1387 or 925-932 1387), Aardvark Insurance Agency, and Travel Insurance.

Passport and Visa: You need a visa for Russia, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, or Kazakhstan. Upon reservation of the trip we will send you all necessary information for the consulate. Please be sure to have a valid passport. The passport should be valid for six months after date of your departure from Russia.

Additional Information: Upon receipt of your reservation deposit, we will send you a confirmation package with vital information about your trip. It is your responsibility to read and understand the information in the trip package.
